LightSync Pro Support FAQs: Syncing Images to WordPress + Shopify
LightSync Pro Support FAQs
General
What cloud platforms does LightSync Pro support?
LightSync Pro currently supports Adobe Lightroom and Figma, with Canva coming soon. Images sync to WordPress and Shopify (Pro/Agency plans).
What destinations can I sync to?
- WordPress — Images sync to your Media Library
- Shopify — Images sync to Shopify Files (Pro/Agency plans)
How does LightSync Pro connect to cloud platforms?
Each platform uses secure OAuth 2.0 authentication. You authorize LightSync Pro through the platform’s official login page. Your passwords are never stored or accessible to LightSync Pro.
Does LightSync Pro store my images?
No—never. Images transfer directly from your cloud platform to WordPress or Shopify. Nothing passes through or stays on LightSync Pro servers.
Will updating images break my existing galleries or pages?
No. LightSync Pro uses non-destructive syncing, updating images in place while preserving existing URLs, galleries, and layouts.
What formats are imported into WordPress?
LightSync Pro imports rendered images into the WordPress Media Library and generates WordPress thumbnails. WebP conversion is supported, and AVIF conversion is available on Pro/Agency plans.
Does LightSync Pro work with page builders (Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, etc.)?
Yes. Once images are in the native WordPress Media Library, they work with any theme, gallery, or page builder.
Connecting to Adobe Lightroom
How do I connect LightSync Pro to Adobe Lightroom?
Go to LightSync Pro → Connections → Connect to Adobe. You’ll be redirected to Adobe’s secure login page to approve access. Once approved, you’ll be returned to WordPress and your account will be securely linked.
Why do I have to log back into Adobe sometimes?
Adobe access tokens can expire due to security rotation, inactivity, or changes on Adobe’s side. LightSync Pro refreshes tokens automatically whenever possible, but in rare cases Adobe requires a one-time reconnect.
Does LightSync Pro store my Adobe password?
No—never. Authentication runs through Adobe OAuth 2.0, and LightSync Pro only receives secure access tokens controlled by Adobe.
Can multiple WordPress sites connect to the same Adobe account?
Yes. Multiple WordPress sites can connect to the same Adobe account. Syncing the same album to multiple sites may increase Adobe API usage, and automation settings are configured per site.
Does LightSync Pro access my entire Lightroom account?
No. LightSync Pro only uses the scopes you approve—such as reading albums and images and accessing rendered renditions. It cannot delete or modify anything in your Adobe account.
Will my Lightroom edits carry over to WordPress?
Yes. LightSync Pro imports the final edited version of each image—exactly as it appears in Lightroom.
Connecting to Figma
How do I connect LightSync Pro to Figma?
Go to LightSync Pro → Connections → Connect to Figma. You’ll be redirected to Figma’s authorization page. Once approved, your Figma projects will be available to sync.
What Figma content can I sync?
LightSync Pro syncs exportable frames from your Figma projects. Organize frames you want to sync into dedicated pages or use naming conventions for easy selection.
Does LightSync Pro access my entire Figma account?
No. LightSync Pro only reads project and frame data you authorize. It cannot modify or delete anything in your Figma account.
Can I sync from Figma and Lightroom to the same WordPress site?
Yes. LightSync Pro supports multiple cloud connections simultaneously. You can sync Lightroom albums and Figma projects to the same WordPress Media Library.
Connecting to Canva
When will Canva be available?
Canva integration is coming soon. Join our mailing list or follow us for updates.
Connecting to Shopify
How do I connect LightSync Pro to Shopify?
Go to LightSync Pro → Shopify → Connect Shopify Store. Enter your store domain and authorize the app. Images will sync to Shopify Files.
What Shopify plan do I need?
Any active Shopify store works. You’ll need store owner or staff permissions with Files access.
Can I sync to both WordPress and Shopify?
Yes. Select your sync target (WordPress, Shopify, or both) when running a sync.
Albums & Projects
Why aren’t all my Lightroom albums showing?
This is usually caused by albums still loading, a temporary token issue, or albums that contain images that haven’t finished rendering yet. Refreshing the album list or reconnecting typically resolves it.
Why do some albums or projects appear empty?
Albums can appear empty when images haven’t completed cloud rendering. For Lightroom, this happens while Adobe processes edits. For Figma, ensure frames are exportable and not hidden. LightSync Pro will detect images on the next refresh or sync.
Why are some images missing or unavailable?
Cloud platforms must finish generating renditions before LightSync Pro can import them. Images may be unavailable right after uploading or editing, when files are large, or while servers are still processing. LightSync Pro retries automatically until images become available.
Syncing & Auto-Sync
How do I manually sync?
Click Start Sync on the LightSync Pro dashboard, choose the album or project, select your destination (WordPress, Shopify, or both), and LightSync Pro will begin importing immediately.
What happens during a sync?
LightSync Pro checks for new or updated images, pulls rendered files from your cloud platform, imports them into WordPress Media Library and/or Shopify Files, optionally converts images to WebP or AVIF (on supported plans), and logs progress through completion.
Why does sync skip certain images?
Images may be skipped if they haven’t finished rendering, the platform throttles API calls, a file is inaccessible, or cloud sync isn’t complete on the source side. Skipped images are retried automatically on future syncs.
What is Auto-Sync?
Auto-Sync (available on Pro and Agency plans) checks your cloud platforms on a schedule for new or updated images in selected albums/projects and imports them automatically once they’re ready.
How often does auto-sync run?
On supported plans, Auto-Sync can run every 15 minutes, hourly, twice daily, or daily. The interval is configurable per album or project.
Does auto-sync run if I close my browser?
Yes. Auto-Sync runs through WordPress Cron and does not require your browser to remain open.
Performance & Limits
How many images can I sync at once?
LightSync Pro supports syncing large albums containing hundreds or thousands of images. Actual performance depends on your hosting environment, PHP memory limits, and cloud platform API behavior.
How many albums or projects can I sync?
Plan limits apply to albums/projects, not individual images:
- Free: 1 album/project
- Pro: 10 albums/projects
- Agency: 100 albums/projects
Will syncing slow down my website?
LightSync Pro processes work in small batches and uses background jobs to avoid blocking visitor requests. Larger syncs can temporarily increase server activity but typically won’t affect visitor experience.
Security & Privacy
Is my cloud account data secure?
Yes. LightSync Pro stores only encrypted access tokens and never stores passwords. It does not access billing data or unrelated private information from any connected platform.
Is LightSync Pro GDPR compliant?
Yes. LightSync Pro does not use external analytics or tracking, does not sell data to third parties, and transfers images directly without storing them on our servers.
Plans, Billing & Updates
Do I need a license key?
A license key is used to enable automatic updates, receive new features, and access support for Pro and Agency plans.
What happens after I purchase?
After Stripe confirms payment, a license key is generated automatically and emailed to the address used at checkout. Your subscription becomes active immediately.
What happens if I cancel or my subscription expires?
Your existing images remain in WordPress and Shopify and continue working normally. Automation, updates, and support are paused until the subscription is renewed.
Troubleshooting
My albums or projects are not loading — what should I do?
Try refreshing, reconnecting your cloud account, and clearing any caching plugin that may interfere. Also ensure your PHP memory limit is at least 512 MB.
Sync shows “Failed” — why?
Common causes include unrendered images, expired tokens, server timeouts, duplicate conflicts, or temporary API errors. Many cases resolve automatically on the next sync.
Why is the sync taking a long time?
Large files, very large albums, slower hosting, and platform rate limiting can all increase sync time. LightSync Pro processes images in batches to prevent overload.
Can I cancel a sync while it’s running?
Sync jobs run in the background unless you intentionally stop them. If stopped mid-run, remaining images will be picked up on the next sync attempt.
Why do newly edited images not show immediately?
Cloud platforms need time to render the final version. Once rendering completes, LightSync Pro detects the update on the next sync cycle.
Advanced Questions
Does LightSync Pro support filtering?
Album-based and project-based filtering is supported, allowing you to control what syncs by organizing images into specific albums or Figma pages.
Can I re-sync or rebuild thumbnails?
On supported plans, you can re-pull images, rebuild WordPress thumbnails, and re-run WebP or AVIF conversion when needed.
