Why We Built LightSync Pro
BUILT FOR EVERYONE
My wife is a photographer. Like many photographers, she runs her business in Adobe Lightroom and showcases her work on a WordPress website.
Every time she finished editing a session, I’d help her update her site. That meant:
Exporting photos from Lightroom
Renaming files
Compressing them for the web
Uploading to WordPress
Adding alt text and organizing galleries
…and repeating that process every time a gallery changed.
I kept thinking: Why are we still doing this manually?
At the same time, I’ve spent 15+ years building and managing websites and systems for clients — photographers, agencies, creatives, and businesses that depend on fast, reliable publishing workflows. And I was seeing the same problem everywhere.
Lightroom was where the work happened.
Websites were where the work was shown.
But there was no clean connection between the two.
When I started digging deeper, I realized something important.
There were tools for Lightroom Classic — but nothing that worked with Adobe’s cloud-based Lightroom, the version millions of creators and teams use every day. And more importantly, there was no reliable way to keep published images in sync after they went live.
If a photo changed in Lightroom, websites didn’t update.
If filenames, crops, or metadata changed, links broke.
Publishing was a one-time export — not a living connection.
What started as a solution for our own workflow quickly became something my clients needed too.
So I built LightSync Pro — not as another export tool, but as a live bridge between Lightroom and the web.
A system that keeps images, metadata, and updates in sync automatically, so creators and teams can focus on their work — not file management.
So we built LightSync Pro — the first plugin that:
Connects directly to Adobe Lightroom (cloud version)
Syncs albums + images to WordPress and Shopify automatically
Optimizes every image to WebP or AVIF
Renames files for SEO using real metadata
Automates everything on a schedule
Connects to Adobe Lightroom, Figma, Dropbox and Canva (Coming Soon)
Optimizes every image to WebP or AVIF
Syncs albums + images into WordPress automatically
Automates everything on a schedule
Renames files for SEO using real metadata
LightSync Pro exists for one reason...
To give photographers, designers, studios, and agencies — and people like my wife — their time back. And to make WordPress image workflows finally as smart, fast, and automatic as everything else in the cloud.
