Current Status
Google Drive integration is fully built and currently in Google's API verification process. We are awaiting final approval for the drive.readonly scope required to browse and sync files from your Drive.
What It Will Do
Once approved, you will be able to:
- Connect your Google account via OAuth 2.0
- Browse folders and files in your Google Drive
- Select images to sync to WordPress and Shopify
- Apply the full optimization pipeline (WebP/AVIF)
- Use auto-sync for hot folders (Pro+ and Agency plans)
Privacy and Access
LightSync Pro will use read-only access (drive.readonly scope) to files you explicitly select. It will not be able to modify, delete, or share anything in your Google Drive. All OAuth credentials will be held by our patent-pending broker architecture, never stored in WordPress.
Notifications
We will notify active subscribers by email when Google Drive integration goes live. No action is required — the feature will appear automatically in your LightSync Pro dashboard once approval is complete.
